Rotorua

Rotorua is located on a volcanic plateau in New Zealand, on the southern shore of Lake Rotorua surrounded by bubbling mud, crater lakes, lush vegetation and colorful silicate and mineral formations.

Numerous excellent discount Rotorua hotels are available for visitors who wish to explore the geothermal areas in and around the city. Volcanic mountains and craters, steaming ground, strange sculptures and the pungent smell of hot sulphur create an unusual but interesting environment. Kuirau Park in Rotorua is the site of the most recent eruption.
