 It is a very basic Spanish hotel but offers everything you could want while in Ibiza. This is my 5th visit to Ibiza and my first to Montesol and I will return to both. Our rate included a breakfast which consisted of a coffee, fresh orange juice, a big croissant and a piece of toast. Perfectly sufficient to start your day in the sun. The rooms are basic but are a perfectly clean, as are the bathrooms-with fresh towels each day. Air conditioning alone was worth it-very much needed in the heat of August. It is right on the Port and so a stones throw from all the great shops, restaurants, bars, taxi rank and the old town. Location wise, you couldn't get better. We were lucky to get a room at the back - always request it otherwise your room could be either facing out onto the port or out onto Vara de Rey and so could be quite noisy. Ours was at the back and very quiet. For what you pay (it's no 5 star), you get what you want - clean rooms, air conditioning, breakfast and a super location.- 22-Aug-2008 The hotel was satisfactory but the room was small and had no natural daylight - I would have preferred to have made a choice not to have this room. It was well maintained and clean and room staff were courteous.
The hotel was well priced and in an excellent location.
Some reception staff were rude and the waiters at breakfast were unhelpful and rude. Breakfast was poor and very slow in coming with no one to assist.- 04-Aug-2008 Basic hotel but with the best location.
