 The City Hotel was generally a pleasant stay. One aspect that could have been improved on was the leisure area with pool, steam room etc. When we entered the leisure area they were unable to access anymore towels for us to borrow and we had to return to our room to get our room towels to use. This was quite inconvenient.
We did not eat dinner in the hotel but had breakfast the next morning. Was okay but some of the items for the cooked breakfast lacked quality and taste. However, there was a good choice of cereals, fresh fruit, toast, cooked breakfast and pastries available.
Location of the hotel is very good - quite close to train station and very close to city centre, old historic walls, restaurants and bars, shops etc.- 26-Aug-2008 as the hotel is 4**** can't understand why there was only a 4ft 6 bed and not a king size one in our double room as there was plenty of space for one - 16-Aug-2008 The hotel was comfortable and clean with professional and friendly staff. Although the hotel is situated close to the city centre I found the main road very noisy. I would stay again but request a room to the back of the building in the hope of a decent night's sleep- 16-Jul-2008 |
