Offering friendly service and comfortable accommodation on the fringe of Sydney's CBD, this newest boutique bed and breakfast hotel is an ideal base to explore the inner city.

Location
The Y Hotel City South is located in the corner of Cleveland and Regent streets and is just a short stroll from Prince Alfred Park. Sydney University, Ultimo Tafe and The University of Technology are all just 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is also very close to the Central Business District.

Rooms
The hotel features comfortable guestrooms that are contemporarily decorated and equipped with modern conveniences.

Restaurant
Guests can start off the day with a delicious breakfast, served at the hotel. In addition, the in-house cafe is an ideal place to sit back and sip a drink.

General
During free time, guests can browse the net or simply relax at the rooftop garden. An ample parking space is also available in the premises.

Whilst good value on the face of it, given the relatively poor location in relation to train and bus services, if needing to get a cab at night time back to hotel(especially if travelling as a single female), you'd soon loose any saving. The single room I had was clean and adequate, but definitely 'no-frills' and anything but 'funky' (as described in the brochure)- somewhat drab and boring! The staff were friendly and helpful.

Very friendly, convenient location and excellent room rates. I will be staying there again on my next visit to Sydney.

Best value for money. Food outlets not within an easily walkable distance. Very close to Redfern station for transport.
