The Westgate's 17 elegant and exquisite meeting rooms as well as a business centre offer the excellent space and detailed amenities that make any assembly successful. The hotel also offers a state-of-the-art fitness centre to provide relaxation and to restore the body's natural balance.
 I expected a 5 star hotel to give the top notch service. This hotel had a flood in my room. They hesitated to move me to a different room. Nevertheless no one apologized for the inconvenience and tried to get a mechanic to come fix a flood. When they tried to move me to the next room, there was another flood that occurred there as well. Finally after much time wasted, they finally moved me to a different room. Overall the experience was not good at all.- 29-Aug-2007 Very good hotel. Staff was very friendly and occomadating. They let me use the business office and were very helpful. The price was the best for the class in the area. The location was fine. I front desk was very helpful too. I do wish there was a pool, but you can't have everything- 09-Apr-2005 The Westgate by far exceeded all of my expectations!! I have to admit the formality of this hotel is above what I am use to, but I did not feel out of place or uncomfortable. The employees were all very polite and accommodating.
The airport shuttle service was quick and convenient. We had no problems checking in or out. I have to admit it was a little noisy, but I think it would be noisy anyplace you stay downtown. There were a lot of sirens throughout the night. The rooms were very nice and the bed comfortable. All the extra little amenities are what makes this place so special.
The trolley and bus service is very convenient, although you can walk to most downtown locations. It is situated close to the convention center, gaslamp district, marina, seaport village, shopping, dining, etc.
They were very helpful in recommending places to eat, activities, and helping us plan our transportation throughout the week.
This hotel is definitely a 5-star hotel!
