 The hotel was lovely - set in olive groves in a very quiet part of the city. However, the hotel was a a little too far out if you are hoping to be able to pop in to the city for sightseeing and back to the hotel for a break. We had to stay out all day and night for the most part as it was a good 30-40 min bus journey each way depending on the traffic. It would be a great place to explore the rest of tuscany from though if you hire a car. Otherwise it's a little tricky to get to - especially on foot!! But it really was a lovely place. However, as it was ouot of season there werer few staff around and it was almost impossible to make use of the bar as staff were often engaged elsewhere. But dont let this put you off - it was very cheap and a really nice place.- 22-Nov-2006 To our delight the dinner menu at the hotel was simple Italian food made extremely well and was of a quality and consistency that anyone would find appealling. After dinner each night would always wonder how the chef's were able to extract such wonderful flavours from the foods on offer.
The location of the hotel is ideal for car drivers who do not wish to drive into the city, as the bus stops just outside the hotel gates and is every 20 mins. We will be going there again.- 30-Aug-2004 |
