 The location of this hotel and its views are fabulous - on the hills overlooking Florence and only twenty minutes by bus into the city. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was of a high quality. The hotel charges guests €1.50 per day per towel for use at the pool which I would not expect from a 4 star hotel and also, while not dirty the hotel could have done with a thorough dusting - 19-Jun-2009 The hotel, while out of the city centre, is well served by a bus. Just remember to understand clearly where you get down from the bus on the way back.
Please remember that it is an old 'villa' so don't expect a modern bathroom. The bathroom was clean and had all that one would expect - but it was not 'modern'- 16-Apr-2007 this estate is a bit run down, obivously the family is not much interested in it. BUT you can see it's glory and IF you can tolerate chips, lack of paint, a a few tattered things, it is extraordinary.l IF I had to pay full price, without warning of these drawbacks, I might have been a bit disappointed. But we had a special rate and room with stunning view...a walk from the main building.- 09-Apr-2007 |
