Villa Annalara Relais Amalfi is perched on a cliff and has a particularly suggestive position in the historical centre. Surrounded by the green of lemon groves and by the bright colours of flowering bouganville, the villa is just a few steps from the Duomo and sea.

 My boyfriend and I had a very pleasant stay at the Villa Annalara Relais Amalfi. The hotel was perched on a hill looking out onto the town and the sea. It was near enough to reach the town centre by foot, yet far enough so you can't hear the clock tower chime every 15 mins, or the bustle of the tourists as they arrive by the busload.
For those who wish to use Amalfi as a base to explore the rest of the coast, there are frequent buses that take you to and from Sorrento (1.5 hr trip), Positano (45 min trip), Ravello (30 min trip) and Capri (a boat trip will take about 1.5 hours).
The hotel reception staff were warm and friendly. They recommended places of interest and were even happy to provide us with a takeaway breakfast when we had to get an early start.
I have already recommended this hotel to all my friends who are planning a trip to the Amalfi Coast, and would definitely stay there again.- 26-Oct-2007 |
