 Arriving for our first visit to Madeira late in the evening we decided to stay overnight in a hotel close to the airport before driving to our rented cottage on the following morning.
How fortunate that we chose to stay in Vila Gale Hotel, Santa Cruz. Everything about the hotel was excellent, staff, accommodation, facilities and food.
Well done Vila Gale!!!- 06-Nov-2007 Have just spent 10 days at this hotel chosen because of good online reviews. Was not dissapointed. It was superb. Staff and service were excellent. Food was typical portuegese which is not to my taste.Breakfast was very acceptable typical european which is ok plenty of choice. Did eat out locally as had tried the a la carte restaurant in the hotel which was not as good as I expected after saying that I do not eat fish and a lot of the dishes were of fish so understandable I did not have too much choice. However the facilities were superb Treatments were extra but hotel had good deal for September.Proximity of airport was not a problem It was fascinating to watch the planes come and go on the short landing strip. It is not the busiest of airports so it was not a problem. I could not fault this hotel and the price booked on the internet was an extra bonus.It was very relaxing Great outdoor pool and overlooking the ocean best of both. I am now looking forward to my next visit - 10-Oct-2007 |
