Although this claims to be a 4 star hotel it does not reach the standards of other 4 star hotels we have stayed in. It is rather cheap chic although comfortable and a 5 minute walk to the old town. The self service breakfast is rather like being in a hostel where you just helped yourself to everything including tea and coffee - not the service you'd expect in a 4 star hotel!
Having booked a double & a twin rm we got 2 twins at different ends of the hotel - this was not acceptable as we had two children with us and this was clear on the booking form through [website]. The hotel claimed they were unaware of this but moved us nearer to each other on the second night. Overall ok for price. - 20-Dec-2006 Reasonably priced hotel within a 10 to 15 minute walk to the old town depending which route you take. We had a room overlooking the courtyard and this was nicer than the room my son had which seemed to be smaller and faced the front of the hotel which is located on a main road. Although he wasn't bothered by noise of the traffic we did meet one client who wanted to change his room as he was located on the ground floor outside a set of traffic lights. The beds were very slim but comfortable and the breakfast was fine all the usual hot foods such as scambled egg, bacon, baked beans, cold meats, fruits and breads etc. The courtyard was pleasant to sit in for a beer and it closed at 10.30pm so there was no noise from that area when you went to your bed at night. Certainly not the most luxurious hotel in the world, but adequate for the money.- 30-Jul-2006 |
