The hotel was actually much better than what Iwe expected.
The room we stayed in was quite spacious with well sized bathroom. The room was clean but we did not like that windows could not be opened so it was a bit stuffy. We thought that swimming pool was great. It is quite large with spa baths in the corner and most importantly it has sunshine during the entire day.
The hotel is not situated in the prettiest area. If you compare it to the hotels on the river, Twin Towers’ surroundings look a bit gray. However, the price of the hotels on the river is much higher. On the bright side, it is located about 15 minutes walk from Siam Square. Siam Square is shopping area with four huge shopping centres all connected by bridges.
If you do not like walking you can take hotel’s Tuk-Tuk, which is quite cheap. Taxi ride to pretty much anywhere in Thailand CBD should not be more than 90 Baht ($3) when metered and around 350 Baht ($12) to airport.- 26-Mar-2008 The hotel doesn't seem 2 be well known.cabby had 2 call hotel 2find location.Even made several turns before reaching.
Information given 2receptionist was not passed down 2other staff.Recepetionist told us that connecting room will be available the next day.We checked out 1 room and reconfirm with the staff abt availability of room before going out. When we came back at night, the hotel staff told us that the reserved room was given up and there was NO other rooms available. The receptionist even ask us what 2 do.After making our displeasure felt, they offered 2 downgrade us.It was only after we took down the staff's names that they "suddenly" realize that they have 2 connecting rooms available. We had 2 shift at 1.30 am!No apologies were offered. The duty manager was rude!
On the last day, we tried 2get the taxi service 2get a cab for us.The hotel staff told us that it's a 1off fee of 500 Bhat. When we insist on going by the meter, they chase us and said we can get a cab by the road! - 30-Dec-2007 Location is very far from the hotel to nearest BTS. It takes 20 minutes to walk. Nonetheless the hotel service is extremely good.- 22-Aug-2007 |
