Located right next to the beach, facing the sea, Tryp Guadalmar Hotel is 2 kilometres from the Plaza Mayor with its leisure activities and 3 kilometres from the airport of Malaga. The property is also close to various golf courses as well as the Malaga & Torremolinos Convention Centre.
Rooms
The guestrooms are spacious and nicely decorated with most of them overlooking the sea and offering superb views of Malaga and Torremolinos.
Restaurant
The onsite Cenachero Restaurant serves Mediterranean and regional dishes as well as Nouvelle cuisine, while the Piano Bar offers an exquisite range of cocktails.
General
Tryp Guadalmar Hotel offers 7 meeting rooms and halls for holding business conferences, banquets and other social events. Furthermore, the extensive recreational facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis court, gymnasium and sauna.

 The food menu at the bar restaurant was basic but adequate. Its lovely to have a balcony with a coouple of chairs. It is quite a bit outside Malaga but handy for the aiport. However, there are taxis on standby outside the door. The taxi to the airport was 14 euros which was bit pricy as it was only a 5 min trip.
The hotel foyer is impressive and spacious. I would stay there again.- 02-Oct-2007 Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent facilities, and good air conditioning. Room was clean and bright.
I wish they could have tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, but not a problem.
Only one minor thing that needs to be addressed, is that I wasn't told that the card key that opens the hotel door, has to be put in the slot just behind the door to make the lighting work. This meant I had to go all the way back down to the reception as I thought I had no electricity. Ok for me, but a pain if I was elderly.
Other than that I enjoyed my stay, and will be booking my mother into the hotel, in a months time when she visits Malaga, and would certainly book there again. - 23-Sep-2007 Very difficult to come to the hotel by bus, train or walking, and they are telling that they are near the Malaga airport. That means 30 euro for taxi, from and to the airport. So, this hotel is not unexpensiva at the end.- 05-Nov-2006 |
