Location
Inside the district of San Marco, the Torino Hotel Venice is seen as one of the hotels with the best position in Venice. A brief and pleasant walk along via XXII Marzo, the street with the most important shops of high fashion, leads to Piazza San Marco.  Check-out 1100 enforced strictly! Room smallish (but who comes to Venice to sit in a hotel room anyway!) with two single beds pushed together instead of a double. Breakfast great, but cramped room, so pays to get there early as possible. Concierges helpful with maps, directions, reconfirming bookings etc. Would stay there again for sure.- 17-Aug-2009 We really liked this hotel. The location is great. It is somewhat difficult to get to [as almost all hotels in Venice]. Print out the directions, with the map, before you go.- 11-Sep-2008 Breakfast room was too small for the amount of guests - but they did offer room service for free to try and alleviate that. Room 318 was not a double room, two single beds put together - and the bathroom was grungy with mozaic type tiling with ancient grouting, hole in the floor for plug and shower curtain. (they said it was being renovated next week - but they are still renting it out ????) But the second room we got was in line with what we were paying. Reception was friendly.- 01-Nov-2007 |
