 Top notch, just off Capitol Hill. The area is great for exploration or if you are there for work, but it does not offer a lot for dining and night-life.

- 19-Aug-2009 I found a deal from HotelClub--stayed 3 night and got 1 night free, which worked really well for my 4-night stay. The hotel is about 5-min walk to Union Station, very easy access to Metro, and is within walking distance to Capital, Library of Congress, and Folger Shakespeare Library. The hotel is also close to Reagan Airport (about 30-min Metro ride). I had to get up early to attend a conference at Convention Center, and was able to get there on time every day. The only thing I was a little surprised to find out is that they charge Internet access in their Business Center too.
