The Garden Hotel is not much of a garden from the front but gardens at the back of the hotel are very beautifully landscaped. However getting there requires a security code. It didn''t work for me and I had to ask 3 staff before one of them bothered to get the new one for me. Overall I found the staff attitude lacking, certainly not up to standard for a 5 star hotel. The deluxe room I stayed in was small, the bathroom tiny and with old fittings. Tried only the chinese restaurant - food was tasty and well presented and resonably priced. The leisure facilities are not virtually non existent - you have to pay to use the sauna. The gym is tiny, the pool in a poor state. I won''t recommend it - for the same price, a better 5-star hotel is miles ahead.- 07-Sep-2005 The high price on account of the trade fair does cause a feeling of getting less value for money. The hotel staff is extremely polite and helpful, though their knowledge of foreign languages, e.g. English, is not really adequate.- 07-Sep-2005 My first encounter with the hotel personal was in the reception. I had to wait in a que for 25 minutes to check-in. I had a long flight and after it, I was made to stand. There should be sitting lounge and in case guests have to wait, then please serve them properly. This looked as if I was an unwanted guests and staff had a I-don''t-care attitude. The same thing happened during the check-out as well. i had to stand in the que for about 15 minutes. If they have more guests then they should scale up the services as well.- 07-Sep-2005 |
