 It was especially convenient for me as a person unfamiliar with local cuisine, that the Cafe served all meals buffet style. I found them excellent. The hotel is described on the Web as being a 10 minute walk from the Forbidden City. I found it to be about twice that distance. The open air "night market" with many local specialties to eat is about half way between. - 07-Sep-2005 The hotel was great but there were only a very few staff members who spoke fluent English. The others were fine for simple questions but if you needed something specific, the language barrier became a problem. In saying that, the staff members, particularly the managers who spoke English were always very helpful.- 07-Sep-2005 We were very happy with our stay in the hotel, but we were amazed with the quality of service only after our return to Canada.
