Located at a short distance from the historic centre of Krakow and the Wawel Castle, Start Hotel is only 2 kilometres away from the Sanctuary of God Charity in Lagiewniki. The hotel is also adjacent the TESCO hypermarket that is open 24 hours a day.

 Hotel is in need a a revamp, other guest seem to be booze partyers and very loud at all hours. beds are worn out matesses and rooms dank, cold & i need modernisation. dont go near windows as they likely to fall out !!! staff try to help but are not that bothered. Its a Hostel with a hotel name. if you want basic accomodation stay away if you want campsite acomodation give it a try but far from all ameties so costs in long run on taxis - 07-Mar-2008 This is not a downtown hotel but has good bus and tram connections to all of Krakow. It is near a wilderness type recreation area where a former quarry, now flooded and with wildfowl, provides swimming and scuba diving facilities in Summer. (The quarry was in his youth a workplace of Karol Woityla.) Take the sausages from the breakfast buffet when you see them because when you come back from your morning walk they will be gone.- 21-Jan-2008 The room was not clean when we arrived.
