Very Convenient, reasonable size room. The Hill wasn't as bad as I thought it might be, as the hotel can be entered through the basement level. The staff were friendly and courteous. i would definitely stay there again. - 19-Jun-2008 It's easy to locate this hotel from Kimberly Rd after alighting from Tsimshatsui MTR. Do not take the Airport-Hotel express Coach Transfer from airport - was an expensive (although alightly cheaper than taxi, about HK$450 from airport to hotel) and "loooong" bad experience. We paid HK$130 per person & had a long walk from arrival counter to coach, and waited 40 mns before it started the engine... it choose to alight us "last" after passing few other hotels afterr a bumpy & "heavy traffic jammed" journey - we should'd taken the MTR direct from airport to city (which was quite wonderful experience the last time I did, cheaper and fast!)
Anyway, the hotel is small but nice & clean. Good location if you want to go Macau, just walk towards West, the ferry terminal is at Ching-HongKong City Building. It's better to take the ferry from Kowloon than HongKong island because the ferry at Kowloon is newer and cheaper (HK$133) vs HK$240 from Hong Kong Island.- 19-Apr-2008 First time in Hong Kong and first time using [website]. I booked this hotel based mainly on price as it was in the location I wanted. I only had some slight issues with the hotel mainly due to the renovations going on. The rooftop area was closed and they were doing work on the outside of the building on the entrance side. I was given a room on this side of the building and looked straight out at the blokes working on the scaffolding. I asked to change to a room on the other side of the building which was no problem. The room had two single beds as no doubles were available but this worked out great as I think the room was a little bigger than most. Overall I would have no problems recommending this hotel. The hill it is located on is very steep, but if you take a short cut off kimberley road past the restaurants and enter via the carpark, it is a much easier walk.- 13-Mar-2008 |
