 Excellent hotel, very convenient for the airport and also the trains into the city. Good restaurant for meals, great service, etc. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.- 12-Nov-2009 Hotel is good, no worries about that. Distance to domestic terminal is 10 min walk. You can take a shuttle bus for AU$6,- to the hotel as well. From international you should do that for sure, as that is just too long for walking, specially with luggage I think. Internet is quite expensive, even in executive room, 0,55 per min, max 30 dollar. Breakfast was really ok, not too special. Serivce was good, people were friendly, overall a good hotel to stay if you wanna stay close to airport.- 29-Oct-2009 We had to wait 40 minutes at night for the shuttle service to arrive and a further 5 minutes till the bus filled. Because I had read earlier this year on the hotel's site that the shuttle to the hotel was free, I was surprised when we were charged $12 by the hotel. When we queried the charge, the manager refused to listen and rudely stated that I must have read about the free shuttle on another site!!!
It's a pity because the Stamford Plaza facilities and locality are excellent, and we discovered on the way back to the airport that the efficient taxi service is only $14.50.
