VERY small and basic room but if you're there to see the beauty and wonder of Florence, then you won't mind. It's right near the train station and centre of town. Would stay here again!- 17-Apr-2008 It is a good hotel, when you just want a bed and a bath. Much noise from the street. Placed very central.- 29-May-2007 For what we needed ( a room with two beds, shower and toilet), the Spagna was what we needed. The price 52 Euro was fair. To compare this hotel for Americans, the Spagna is a Motel 6 with twin beds (very skinny twin beds), a very small shower (barely any space to move in the shower stall), small tv (you are not in Europe to watch tv, so no real fuss there), bidet, toilet and sink. Unlike Motel 6, you also get a breakfast, which was good enough to start a day of walking to all the sites. The location was a bit loud as our room was on one of Florence's main street (bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper), but it was terrific as you can walk to every site in less than 15 minutes.
All in all, nothing flashy but more than a fair price for a two star hotel. Everyone in the hotel speaks english too.- 30-Jan-2007 |
