 (1)The hotel offered us a complimentary drink at their new cafe 'La Terrasse'. When we went there, the female wait-person was obliging until she found we were having a complimentary drink, and then was rude : we walked out. The hotel should not offer this service if they can't do it with charm.
(2) Business centre facilities are (a) in an adjacent building, not in the main hotel (b) are inadequate for a 5-star hotel.- 06-Dec-2006 The restaurant near the pool is very good.
Cocktail at the pool bar are not at the hotel level.- 07-Sep-2005 Our only real complaint was that we were not able to make the room as cool as we are normally used to. We have found that some hotels may provide an adjustable thermostat, but it doesn''t really mean that you can adjust the temperature to what you want; only what the hotel allows. The Sofitel Metropole is one of these. We were upgraded to a Senior Suite, so the marks above apply to that and not a Junior Suite.
