 We stayed at the hotel so we could be at the airport at 4AM for our 6AM flight. We checked out at 3:30AM and headed to the airport. The weather was very bad, heavy snow and ice. all flights were cancelled. We returned to the hotel to see if we could get a room for another day. All rooms were booked, but the receptionist let us return to our old room to rest until the regular checkout time of 11AM. Her consideration made the experience more bearable as the kids got to catch up on their sleep before we took the 4 hr drive home through the snow and ice.- 31-Dec-2008 |
