 Well maintained hotel Clean rooms and clean bath. Location of the hotel was excellant. Service staff were helpful. Hotel is located in a very convenient spot. Receptionist was very unhelpfull. Despite requesting for room with veiw well in advance we weren't offered one. But I will recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Newswanstien castle ( becos of convenient location, Clean hotel and rooms)- 16-Mar-2008 The best thing about this hotel is its location. Right at the base of the trail to Schloss (Castle) Newschwanstein! The hotel is charming from the outside, too. The room, however, was small, dingy and smelly. We had requested a non-smoking room, and this definitely was NOT...it reeked of smoke. And although we had paid a fairly high rate, which, according to the brochure in the room, should have gotten us a ''large corner room with window overlooking both castles'', we had an attic room with low sloping ceiling and one small window on the end. The breakfast the next morning was very nice, with made to order omelettes and fresh fruit. However, except for the incredible location, this hotel was not worth the money.- 07-Sep-2005 The hotel was very nice. You could see the castle Neuschwanstein from our room (but not all rooms have a view). The dining facilities at the hotel are the best in Hohenschwangau. We had a wonderful breakfast that was included in our stay. We also ate dinner the previous night out on the patio. The food and service was excellent. And you could not beat the ambience of either meal as we had wonderful views of Neuschwanstein. I would definitely recommend this hotel.- 07-Sep-2005 |
