 santa chiara hotel is located close to the cental bus station and beside the the water bus stop on the Grand Canal. We found it very convenient. We were accomodated in the hotel annex approx 100m from thje main hotel right on the waterfront. The bathroom and sleeping acc were just great and were cleaned daily. The Breakfast provided was substancial with a wide variety and no limit on consumtion, handy before a hard days sightseeing. Main desk staff were helpful and friendly. The convenience of the location cannot be overstated. - 03-Oct-2007 I think the hotel could use some basic facility maintenance. I happen to have stayed at this same hotel six (6) years ago and was assigned the same room. The room was identical to 6 years ago, but a little more 'used'. The shower door fell from the track, and the paint was chipped badly in the shower frame, giving it an untidy appearance. The location in great, and the facilities are adequate, especially for a couple of nights stay. - 28-Oct-2006 As a couple of middle aged women travelling we found the service and staff of this hotel very friendly and helpful, which is not usually the case in Italy!
