The Sands Hotel is centrally located in the city of Abu Dhabi, within easy reach of the commercial and business districts as well as from the government offices and embassies. All the major shopping centres are within walking distance of the hotel.
Rooms
The hotel offers elegant and tastefully furnished guestrooms that are equipped with a host of modern amenities.
Restaurant
The hotel features an array of restaurants that serve a wide variety of delicacies. In addition, there is a pub that serves authentic food, a selection of hearty beverages and invigorating fun all the way along with live entertainment.
General
Guests have access to beach club facilities, rooftop swimming pool and a health club with the latest exercise machines, sauna and jacuzzi.
 Good location to get to various different points of the city. Offers free transport to and from beach and Marina Mall each day. Also offers free internet for first 30 minutes. Didn't make too much use of the facilities but it has a gym on the 17th floor (elevator only goes to 16th - then steps) and a rooftop cafe and swimming pool on the hotel top. Certainly very good value.- 26-Mar-2006 The main issue for the hotel is that it is not well known & I have to spend some time to be able to arrive at the Hotel.
- 07-Sep-2005 I wanted a non-smoking room, but on arrival they said they had none available. But they found a small suite which was non-smoking for no extra charge. The room was spacious with luxurious new curtains and a King sized bed.
The hotel was probably well-built in the 1980''s and has been partly renovated. Staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was a good standard 4 star hotel breakfast.
I only stayed 1 night, arrived at night and left next morning. I would use this hotel again.- 07-Sep-2005 |
