 If what you are looking for is a basic, cheap, clean place to stay near the airport and close to a beach where you can swim, then you've found it. The area is very quiet and there are several restaurants to choose from within a five minute walk. I paid attention to another person's feedback regarding the mayonnaise at the nearby kebab shop so I didn't get sick. All of the staff in the hotel (especially Maria) are very helpful and accommodating. I arrived before 8 a.m. so my room wasn't ready, but they offered me a free (extra) breakfast. I was starving and took them up on their offer. The air conditioning in my room was a lifesaver as it was extremely humid for two of the days I was there. From the hotel to town isn't very far; the taxi ride is quite reasonable. If you are used to walking, you can walk north along the seafront to reach the Promenade within a half hour. All in all, if you're not looking for luxury, it is a decent, cheap place (with pool) to stay.- 31-Aug-2008 |
