Saboia Hotel Estoril has a really good location in Estoril and their price is really cheap plus good and clean facilities. Could not imagine that before i went to this hotel.
In my general opinion, this hotel is worth to live rather than living in some hotel with ghost appear! - 11-Dec-2007 The Saboia was a 3 night, last minute deal and the price was really, really low, the staff were excellent and although the carpet in the room was grubby the bed was comfortable and clean, the water was piping hot whenever it was required and there were plenty of towels.
Breakfast was adequate if unimaginative but as a bonus there was a cafe (owned by the hotel) attached, so you could purchase anything else you wanted.
The location was the drawback, even with directions from Viamichelin we couldnīt find it, we asked a taxi driver and he didn't know, we resorted to asking a local man on a scooter. From the hotel it was only a 20 minute walk to Cascais, there is nothing to entertain you in Estoril, or Monte Estoril where the hotel is situated. The walk to the beach was downhill and through a smelly underpass under the train line, not a good location for anyone disabled or elderly!
The swimming pool was a nice addition and had complimentary towels for guests use.- 01-Jul-2006 Not a bad place to stay if you wish to combine a seaside holiday with some city sightseeing. The hotel is close to a train station with an easy trip to Lissabon. We had a sea view room on the top floor, and the view was worth the extra money. The hotel is in a walking distance from both Estoril and Cascais.- 21-Jun-2004 |
