Resort grounds were beautiful. Loved the pool and gardens. Staff were wonderful, especially breakfast crew. Very happy and bubbly. A lovely start to the day.
Only disappointment was the room. Very dated. View beautiful. Furnishings and bed covers were old and past their use by date.
I would love to come back.- 12-Nov-2008 The rooms in Rydges Hotel are looking rather tired and in need of major refurbishment. The location and surrounds of the resort are excellent as are the facilities (large pool, plenty of activities for the kids, 2 golf courses etc), however, our room was rather dirty when we checked in at 4.00pm and the beds had rather uncomfortable dead spot in the middle of the matress due to advanced age. The room was quite large and we had a nice view from our balcony over the capricorn coast. Overall, the resort has several attractive features, but the rooms are expensive given the quality and state of the fitting.- 04-Jan-2008 As a family of 5, we only spent one night at this resort, on routte to Great Keppel Island. During this time however we packed in quite a lot, the resorts main swimming pool had a water slide, waterfall, and volleyball nets up, which our kids loved. The rooms were clean and tidy, and there was undercover parking for our car. We did not dine in the restauant at night, however did have the buffet breakfast which was lovely. There were wild kangaroos walking around the grounds which our kids loved.- 26-Feb-2007 |
