Overall we enjoyed our stay. Our room was very big with lots of windows (bad curtains though). The combination of pipes under the floor of our room and the summer weather meant that the room was insanely hot at all times though and there was no air conditioning. We had all the windows open for that reason, which meant that at about 4am we were woken up by people falling out of the clubs below and into taxis parked just outside the hotel entrance. The full irish breakfast was ok, but i'm sure a nice cafe would do a lot better. The location was brilliant though, only 5mins from Grafton St.- 28-Jul-2008 Too noisy also on the weeknights, not only on the weekends as expected when we booked this hotel. It was not possible to sleep before almost 3 o'clock in the morning on the nights to Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The discoteque in the garden/backyard/ground floor of the hotel played noisy music on a very high volume. We checked in on a Sunday and stayed for five nights.- 30-May-2008 The hotel was much better than expected, had comfotable old world charm mixed with all the conveniences of a modern world, staff were warm and kind. I especially liked the arty touches taht gave the room a 'more than just a place to sleep' quality. Very magical indeed.- 07-Apr-2008 |
