 The location/price ratio is excellent. If you are not too picky about ambience this is a good place to be. Difficult to understand why the hotel does not invest in some emulsion paint. Its cheap and would work wonders for the appearance. Breakfast perfectly good. Twenty-four hour coffee shop turgid. Adjacent Chinese restaurant ('Sky High') more than compensates with a wide ranging menu. Go on - risk it.- 08-Jan-2006 The Royal Hotel is ideally placed close to the Royal Palace and What Po and boat services on the Chao Phyra. Though a little run down the hotel is reasonably clean and the staff are friendly.
The hotel is mainly used by tour groups and older Thai tourists.
For the price and location the Royal is good value.- 23-Oct-2005 The hotel exudes a dated elegance that''s conforting, despite being slightly dingy. The location is exquisite and the staff extremely helpful. There are some great features in the hotel itself, for example traditional massage and foot reflexology that really is wonderful following a long day touring the city.- 07-Sep-2005 |
