 Nice hotel outside of town. I would gladly recommend this hotel. Don't be alarmed by the drive to the hotel. The hotel is not in the high-rise downtown area but rather in the more typical rural/urban setting. The hotel is great and people in the area seemed fascinated by tourists. Our tour guide, Richard, was outstanding. The business office was great at handling any request. The hotel also gladly extended our checkout to match our schedule. The view from the room, overlooking the Li River, was great.- 07-Sep-2005 The hotel lovely and staff exceeded my expectations. We utilized the laudry service and room service. Our laundry came back looking better than it did when we bought it and room service was prompt and the food was hot. Everyone we dealt with was helpful and courteous. It was a great place to stay and I would recommend it to my friends. - 07-Sep-2005 I used this hotel twice on this trip, with late night check-ins on both occasions. Check-in went smoothly both times, and the rooms proved quiet, clean, and comfortable. The location is very good: on the banks of the Li Jiang, a short walk away from the bridge that gives access to the city center. There are also wonderful food stalls on the lane immediately behind the hotel that should be explored. If you are going on to Yangshuo, you can arrange a hire car for 200 Renmimbi, or take a taxi to the bus depot and take an air-con express bus for 13RMB!
