 This small hotel at the Lamark-Calincourt Metro has moved with the times, well run, good french breakfast, three grades of rooms and within strolling distance of the Sacre-Coeur (down Rue Calincourt and up right on the Rue Lamark). Staff very helpful and there 24/7!- 19-Jul-2005 strange decor (e.g. astroturf in the corridors instead of carpet) however the location is terrific - right by a metro and a view of Sacre Coeur from our bedroom window so we could ignore the decor. Helpful reception staff. - 19-Jun-2005 The hotel is pleasant, as is the staff. Location (literally on top of a metro-station) is ideal for exploring Paris. Rooms are simple but adequate, you won't be spending much time there though. The elevator is small and sleeping on one of the top floors (#5) gave us somewhat the feeling of "rats in a trap" a.k.a. not easy to escape from in case of an emergency (but hey: it's a French hotel, what'd you expect?).
