Rooms are bigger than most I've been to in Japan. Very clean as well. Staff are very friendly, prompt and helpful. They provide local map stating eateries nearby, as well as directions to places of interest.
1 min walk from Saiin Subway Station. However, you'll have to change train line after 1-2 stop as it terminates at Kawaramachi, in order to go anywhere.
Alternative, lots of buses at flat fare of 220 yen, at the junction of Saiin Station.
Overall, very pleasant stay at the Hotel.- 20-Oct-2009 THe hotel was very far from the main attractions of Kyoto, therefore making time travel to certain destinations (such as Gion) very long. Also, you only get internet access in the room if you bring your own laptop.- 01-Oct-2009 First of, most of their staff can speak English. Secondly, the hotel is located just 6 minutes (or 3 subway stations) from downtown Kyoto, Kawaramachi. Also, you can go any places easily either by train or by bus.
The room (including bathroom) were clean at the time of our stay in the room no. 611.
Anyhow, the room size was as expected (not too big, but not too small). This hotel is good for being a hub if you plan to go sightseeing around Kyoto/Arashiyama/Osaka/Nara areas. Besides that, the bed is very comfy and helps you recover from being sore and tired and ready for the next day of traveling.- 25-Sep-2009 |
