A good value hotel which had all the services we required for our stay in Bangkok, the hotel booked a taxi for us to the hotel at a price cheaper than we had been quoted anywhere else. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the bed in the room was the most comfortable i have slept in anywhere!! Overall excellent value for money and would highly recommend.- 07-Sep-2005 The hotel is a mixed bag.
On the plus side, it''s well located (the Thai restaurant across the road is great), most of the staff are very friendly, and it''s cheap. On the downside, it could do with modernising and sprucing up (the bathrooms and the air-con, for instance); the promised Internet connection in your room no longer works; the restaurant is over-priced by Bangkok standards; and I was conned into spending Bt400 extra per night for the package deal which turns out to offer very little and led me to have an argument with an unpleasant manager about my bill.
All in all, it''s not bad, but with so many hotels in Bangkok to choose from, I''ll probably try elsewhere next time.- 07-Sep-2005 Hotel appears to have recently changed hands, and the lobby / restaurant area were still undergoing renovations. I would expect other areas of the hotel will also be done. Hotel staff were very good, although you could wait a long time to be served in the restaurant. (I waited 20 minutes on one occasion). The thai food served however was of good quality (and spicy), and prices are not overly expensive.Rooms are good, and quiet.
As i was on a working trip, the desk / space and laptop port meant i could work quite successfully. - 07-Sep-2005 |
