We only stayed overnight, but the staff were all very helfpful and friendly, calling us by name every time we came to reception or to the concierge. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the location of the hotel being close but not in the heart of Surfers Paradise makes it ideal for a peaceful night away from home.- 26-Apr-2007 The hotel has declined somewhat since my last visit a year ago. It has abandoned non-smoking floors, which I think is a disastrous decision - presumably because of its focus on Japanese clients. This abandonment of other non-smoking clients seems to me appalling. The staff are excellent, being attentive, courteous and helpful.
I also felt abandoned as a guest when non-resident concert goers (in the grounds of the hotel) commandeered the restaurant and it was not available to guests on a Friday night.
It seems that the hotel's senior management needs to revisit some of its policies.
However, the very considerate policy of not charging for young children at buffets is an excellent considered gesture. - 19-Dec-2006 Used this ''Golf'' hotel as an overnight stay on our way home to the UK.
Work being done at the hotel but this did not affect our stay.
Great value at A$125- 11-Dec-2006 |
