The room I stayed in was a bit dated and desperately needed an update. The room had tea making facilities which was good, but lacked double glazing, therefore suffered from traffic noise and there was a night club nearby that pumped out dance music until 3.00am (Thursday night).
The reception, bar and restaurant were good. The health club was excellent with a really nice pool.- 22-Sep-2008 The reception, bar, dining facilities are good but the other areas are now getting 'tired' and need a redecoration and modernisation. Staff very pleasant and helpful and excfellent location for 'The Lanes' or if you have business matters in the City Centre.- 19-Dec-2005 This was my first attempt at booking on the net so it was a good test of both your website and the Queens Hotel system. The room was exactly as I'd requested; a twin with (a terrific) sea view and an opening window. We normally stay at The Ship but found the Queens to be cheaper and better (with the small proviso that the breakfast is better at the Ship - this is probably where the price difference comes into play). The room was really lovely. I will definitely book the Queens again in future.- 30-Jul-2003 |
