Johor is not a great tourist place compared to Penang but it suited us after a long trip to Europe. The hotel is used by conference groups with a huge conference centre next door. Plazas nearby had good shopping and restaurants. The very expensive internet access in the room was a problem for us. Web access in a nearby plaza was a fraction of the price. Travellers need internet access as much as a TV these days. - 07-Dec-2007 The hotel was great value for money and all areas were very good with one exception. The airconditioning was so cold you had to go outside to warm up. even though I turned the airconditioning off in my room the centralised system still kept the entire hotel extremely cold. would stay here again but would make sure I had a jacket to wear inside the hotel room.- 30-Aug-2007 We found the staff to be extremely helpful although the language barrier was difficult, at times. The hotel was a bit difficult to find and the parking facilities were poor. Dining a la carte is preferable to the buffet which looked tired. Having stayed there once, we shall definitely consider staying again. - 19-Dec-2006 |
