The hotel is located in a 'intresting area' and is a 30 min walk to the train station. Whilst only 1 euro each way into the 'center' of rome a 15 euro taxi is required to get to the main city centre.
- 03-Oct-2008 In comparision to other 4 star hotels this one rates very poorly. There were only basic facilities - rooms and a passable restaurant. Staff were not very helpful and at times quite rude. The hotel is a long way from anything in an area where there is nothing to do or see, and transport to sites was difficult and time consuming. Also there internet service was expensive and totally unreliable. In addition the television services did not work and complaints about any of the room facilites were ignored. I can't imagine why anyone would stay there. Finally, I booked to stay in the Prine Roma Cassia but had to stay in the Prime St John in the middle of Rome for the first night and then was transported to the Cassia site the next day a detail no one told me until I reached the hotel. It was totally inconvenient.- 28-Oct-2007 The state of this place is immaculate and the staff are more than willing to help. The rooms are large and well maintained. However, the location of this hotel is its downfall and this probably explains why it is so reasonably priced. It is about 30 minutes from the city centre which is overcome by the hotel, which runs a shuttle service to and from the centre a few times a day. Unfortunately this is just a car and you have to make bookings early, especially if there are a lot of people staying at the hotel. Its great if you just want to relax and stay at the hotel, but if you like exploring and running on your own time, probably look for a different hotel. - 26-Jul-2007 |
