Located in the centre of Cairo on the island of Zamalek, President Hotel is in between the branches of the River Nile crossing Cairo. This area is recognised as one of the quietest residential areas in Cairo being close to a number of the foreign embassies.

 This is an average+ hotel but could be a very good central hotel if they invested in a good vacuum cleaner to clean the carpets properly, and modernised the rooms to include better TV, Channels and TV reception quality. Towels and Bedding could be better. The Hotel needs to improve the lift and lighting in the common areas and the rooms. The breakfast is fine and the location is good.- 25-Oct-2009 Excellent value for budget travellers. A French-style hotel in a lovely street. Comfortable and quiet with a good bathroom. Lobby attractive.
The two elevators are a bit antiquated (the hotel bedrooms are on floors 10 to 13). Also, the safety deposit boxes were out of action, so I had to leave some valuables in a common hotel safe. No problems, but I prefer my own box.
Would be very happy to stay there again.- 02-Jun-2009 The service and location of this hotel were very good for the price which was, for Cairo, reasonable for a good quality hotel.
