 Great value hotel in fabulous location. We had a lateral sea facing room which was huge with a bathroom and separate shower room, but no balcony. However it was very good value for money. The rooms were very clean and the cleaning staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was very acceptable with a good selection, which could also be eaten outside. Queues for the coffee machine and a very prompt finish at 10.30 a.m. which was a bit early.
Lovely top floor bar with couches and chairs on patio overlooking the sea. A perfect place to sit and read and relax.
I would certainly recommend the hotel and would stay there again. - 30-May-2008 we did not expect much for the low price we paid but were delighted to find a very clean comfortable hotel with the very best location and most polite staff. i have read peoples review saying its an unhealthy breakfast but i have never seen such a huge selection of food from amazing breads, pastries, cakes, meats, cheeses, fruits, and also a full hot breakfast, juices and bottles of cava on the go if you feel like it. we counted an average of 85 different items. the hotel restaurant do a 3 course every night which was excellent and a special price for guests that was a serious bargain. the roof top bar is fantastic and has great views and the lovely carmen is you host and looks after her guests very well and again the bar is very inexpensive. we go to sitges several times a year and this will now be the only hotel we will want to stay in. - 11-Nov-2007 We found Platja d'Or Hotel Sitges to be a warmly welcoming hotel although we had to wait until late afternoon for the rooms when we arrived. All the staff was very helpful and polite and although not many spoke English, it didn't matter because I speak Spanish. The ladies at the reception spoke English. The fifth-floor bar was out of this world with the ultra friendly lady behind the bar and the fantastic view to the sea! We didn't use the swimming pool that much but it was ok although there wasn't that much sun in the early afternoon. Finally I must say that the breakfast at the hotel is fantastic!
