Location
Previously a monastery called Convento dei Tre Mori and later converted around the fifteenth century, Piccolo Hotel il Palio is situated in the historical centre of Siena, just a stone's throw from Piazza del Campo and the Dome.

The rooms are furnished in a simple style but they are equipped with every comfort to make your stay thoroughly enjoyable.

Guests can start their day with an Italian breakfast served in the coffee bar in front of the hotel.
General
You can enter the historical centre to unload/load your luggage but later you must park around 300 metres from the hotel.

 A very central hotel easy stroll to the town hall for weddings etc, it was a monastery, an old building and accordingly the facilites were cramped and the cold water pressure was lost at one point. The helpfulness of the staff was very very good.- 18-Jun-2008 I had read some earlier harsh reviews about the breakfast and you get what you pay for etc but still chose to take the hotel for 2 nights anyway. The breakfast even though is in the bar across the street was the normal continental breakfast that you can expect in most places in Italy. The staff were very pleasant and me and my girlfriend enjoyed our stay there.- 29-Aug-2007 |
