Petit Palace Ducal Hotel Chueca Madrid is located on the corner of the Gran Via, the main commercial and entertainment artery. Most of the city's museums and cultural monuments are within easy walking distance. The hotel is just 2 minutes from the Puerta del Sol, 5 minutes from the Prado and Thyssen museums and 10 minutes from the Reina Sofia Modern Art Gallery.

Restaurant
The hotel has a restaurant available to all its guests and the general public serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cafe Tech cafe-bar serves a range of infusions, alcoholic beverages, hot chocolates and coffees as well as a variety of sweet and savoury accompaniments.
General
The hotel has a function room with high-speed Internet connection, simultaneous translation and multimedia equipment. The business centre in the hotel foyer features Broadband internet access, printer, fax and photocopier services.
 Despite comments on other sites, we found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful.
We did not get any problems with noise that others mentioned. There were a few sites to be seen on the streets late at night, but it still felt safer than London.
Rooms still have the glass wall on the bathroom that others have complained about but at least they have now put a stick on picture over them.
The room had a computer with internet access which was good, and the connection speed was also good.
The TV was only in Spanish but other rooms did have cable for other languages.
Breakfast is expensive at 12 Euros, so we ate out.
The location was excellent. It was possible to walk to all the major sites such as the Prado Art Gallery, Botanical Gardens, Atocha Rail Station, Reina Sofia Art Gallery, Retiro Park. You are also right by Gran Via Metro station so it is easy to get to other sites such as the Natural History Museum.- 08-Jun-2009 A splendid breakfast is served.
