 Exellent location right in the middle of things in central Shanghai. Good public transport, you can reach the int'l airport in Pudong in 40 mins from hotel using subway and MagLev train. Both Shanghai's train stations are a few subway stops away. Staff speaks satisfactory English and is very helpful. Art Deco furnishings in the lobby area look good. I got an upgrade to superior room without even asking.- 16-Jul-2008 It's nice to stay in an old hotel where you can feel like it would probably have been in the old days.
However, the carpet was not so clean, the sanitary neighter and it was too hot in the rooms (airco was not functionning well).
Most of all, I find it unbelievable that there was a surcharge for the use of the internet connection, even if it's perhaps only 100 RMB per day, nowadays for such a hotel (and price) it should be for free in each room !!- 28-Feb-2008 |
