 Needs serious refurbishment! An older hotel with what would have been good facilities 20-30 years ago. TV reception on most channels was bad. Room aircon was apalling, and on my second night I froze in bed all night. The thermostat didn't work. The pool was sad, and awkward to access... take a lift to 5th floor, walk down a hallway, through end door, then down a stairwell. The pool is on the floor below, but not well-marked so I ended up on the ground floor at the staff entrance!
Day 1 I got a note under my door just after 9am advising that they wanted to clean my room but that I had "Do Not Disturb" on the door, so I was required to call house service later to have the room cleaned. Day 2 I left the hotel around 9:30am and expected the room to be cleaned by the time I returned at 2pm. It wasn't!!
GROSSLY over-priced for the quality of the building & its facilities. Staff were pleasant and helpful when required. Location in Orchard Road was very good but between two MRT stations.- 27-Jul-2007 The only setback is a few tax charges added to the balance of charge to be paid to the hotel upon checking-out. I thought there is no other charges than what was stipulated in the invoice and confirmation voucher.- 24-Jan-2007 The hotel is in the heart of the city and very convenience for shoppers. The staffs very helpfull and cooperative.The price per nite of the hotel base on this on-line booking is worthed. Looking forward to stay at this hotel in futute time very soon.
