 Negara on Claymore Hotel Singapore. The hotel was undergoing renovations and the pool was closed. The renovations were extremely noisy from 10am until 6pm. The noise meant relaxing in the hotel was impossible- not much point in getting a 5 star hotel if you have to avoid it all day and can't use the facilities. Disappointing.- 23-Jan-2008 We found this hotel to be well located to Orchard Road, buses and the MRT. The suite we had was comfortable but not luxurious. Given that Singapore is a very expensive, we found the hotel to be good value for money. The staff were helpful. - 07-Sep-2005 I always recommend the Hotel Negara to friends. It is one of Singapore's best kept secrets. The location is ideal, as it is close to the shopping district on Orhard and Scott's Roads, but quietly off the beaten path. Also, for the price, the quality of the rooms certainly 5-star. We've been going to the Negara for twenty years, even before its renewal. It is first choice hotel in Singapore.
