Everything was fine, didn't use the facilities so can't rate them. The only complaint would be that the air conditioning didn't work very well even when turned to high. - 04-Sep-2007 The staff were very helpful and friendly (I lost my suitcame and they kept tracking it for me and rang me news to the congress I was at).
The snag is the location - there is nothing else nearby and the hotel restaurant (which was OK but quite pricey)only starts serving at 8.30 pm so if you arrive early and are hungry you just have to wait! Room s ervice said they had run out of bread so couldn't even do a sandwitch.
Breakfast was disappointing - the 'hot buffet' turned out to be
ready-made plates with various types of bread, some prepared pieces of toast with ham, pieces of fruit etc but no cheese for example - it wasn't a proper buffet.
My room was on the second floor overlooking the street so had to have curtains drawn all day!
San Sebastian is lovely so next time I would prefer to stay in the city to enjoy the fabulous food and the charm of the city better - even if the hotel might be attractive.- 19-Mar-2007 Contrary to other reviewers, we found that being no more than a 15 minute walk from the town was not a problem, and gave us additional views of the town that we would otherwise not have had!- 06-Aug-2006 |
