 I found the staff to be pleasant, efficient and eager to help at any time. The room was a good size, clean and maintained as was the whole hotel. The location could simply not be better and the hotel building itself was full of character and grace...almost like walking on to a filmset of some great 1930's Hollywood movie with grand mirrors, chandeliers and bell-boys in full uniform! If youre looking for IKEA-esque furniture, modern design and state of the art gadgets, however, this is not for you...but by not staying in The Palace you'd be missing out on a great deal more that encompasses the TOTAL cultural experience that is Barcelona- 20-Jul-2006 Great location. A palace from early 20th century, beautiful and grandiose entrance and salon. However a bit more attention (cleanliness, renovation) should be given to the rooms.
