The hotel is conveniently located right opposite the main railway station, making it easy to access transportation. Additionally, it is near the railway, allowing for convenient travel. The cleanliness of the hotel was impressive, with clean beds and bathrooms. The breakfast provided was also very good. We were particularly impressed with the friendly and welcoming staff.

For us, it was ideal.

Location: The hotel is very close to most attractions, just a short walk from the railway station, and right in the center of everything. It's also conveniently located near fantastic restaurants. Breakfast: The breakfast had plenty of choice, with cooked options, a variety of eggs, cereal, toast, yogurt. Staff: The staff were very friendly and helpful, providing recommendations for restaurants and sights to see.

I recently stayed at the Old Waverley in Edinburgh for a short weekend getaway. The location was perfect, right on Princess Street and just a minute's walk from Waverley train station. The room they gave us was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any requests. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. I also loved the views from the bar, they were excellent. a lovely experience!

Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

This hotel is perfectly located for sightseeing, right next to the last stop of the airport bus, tram stop and near all the attractions such as the Royal Mile and Princes Street. The rooms offer great views of the city, some with a free-to-use mobile phone for making international calls. Breakfast is included and it has a great view giving you the chance to try porridge in Scotland.

The staff were patient, helpful and generous with their time. The rooms were well-equipped, attractive and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The hotel's location was perfect for walking to major attractions and had excellent transport links.

The value for money at this hotel was unreal! I've paid more for other hotels and not had the standard that Old Waverley provided. The room was absolutely gorgeous, with stunning decor and a comfortable bed. The location couldn't be better, with fab restaurants and bars just a street away, and all the main high street shops within easy reach. The staff were young but did a great job, being friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

The only thing that could make the breakfast better would be to offer an alternative to butter.

I recently stayed at this hotel here and I must say it was a great experience. The location was superb, with it being right across from the station and in the centre of the popular shopping district. The service was also fantastic, with room service and housekeeping being available 24 hours. The room amenities were great, with a comfortable sitting area and an in-room safe, and I was pleased to find a washing machine too. The staff were polite, though I would have appreciated a more customer service-oriented approach. On the plus side, they were happy to accommodate my request for poached eggs during breakfast.

I highly recommend this venue to everyone.

Just returned from a delightful stay at the Old Waverley. The hotel is ideally located, within walking distance of all major attractions. Our room on the 4th floor offered a stunning view, despite some noise. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The Scottish breakfast, included in our room rate, had a good selection, including hot options. The hotel was clean throughout, and the airlink bus stop was conveniently close.

Our stay was perfectly located in the heart of the city, with many attractions just a short walk away. We enjoyed a lovely view of the city and the river from our room. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was modern and bright. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel had a comfortable bar/tea lounge area where we enjoyed a relaxing drink after our busy days.

One minor issue we experienced was a noisy toilet flush in our room.

Great central location. Despite the stairs to reception being a shock at first, we were able to manage. Our lovely room overlooking Princes Gardens made up for any drawbacks. The staff were friendly and our breakfast had a wide choice. we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

Spending Christmas at this hotel was an amazing experience. The holiday decorations and ambiance were in full swing throughout our stay. We were pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary wine and chocolates upon our arrival, which added an extra layer of warmth to our holiday. The location couldn't be beat, with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and popular attractions just a short walk away. The view from our room was also breathtaking, with stunning city sights to wake up to every morning.

While the hotel was overall great, there were a few minor drawbacks to our stay. One issue was the lack of air conditioning in the room, which made for some uncomfortable nights.
