 ideally located for sightseeing by foot. staff very acommodating and professional. breakfast was excellent and had us set up for each day. breakfast manager was second to none and the best i've ever seen and great fun. weather was predictable for january but it was a fabulous break and the hotel was fabulous.- 01-Feb-2008 Hotel is in an excellent location, rooms were clean and tidy. However, it seemed like people in the next room to us had been smoking because there was a distinct smell of tabacco in and around the door to the room. The service provided was excellent, however the bar on an evening could be better equipped, at times it seemed like the only person serving could not cope. In saying that, the hotel is in a prime location and we would stay again.- 12-Dec-2007 We have been visiting the Old Waverley for a number of years and it's ongoing refurbishment is improving its standards.
