Located close to the Mekong River, Novotel Vientiane is conveniently accessible by car to both the airport and city centre. The major commercial and financial district of the city is reachable in 5 minutes by car and the majestic Mekong River is just a 10 minutes walk from the hotel.  About 10 mins walk from the edge town, but it's a safe walk and there are always tuk tuks/taxis outside if you need them - note that the taxi drvier charged the same as the tuk tuk! Vientiane seems to get booked up early, which is why we chose this.
