If this is Hotel New Hankyu I'd hate to see Hotel Old Hankyu. Truly dated and a bit small and dingy. Be sure to ask for a non-smoking room if you don't like smelly decor (but this is true for all Japanese hotels)! The location, however, was v good in that the Kansai Airport Limosine bus stops at the hotel's doorstep. There are restaurants, bars and entertainment around plus a big shopping centre. It's also central to the network of JR railways/ subway for easy access to most places, including Kyoto. Nothing flash but convenient.

You could not ask for a better location. Ideally situated for Umeda and JR rail stations, the airport bus and the Kita entertainment area of Osaka. Rooms are typically small but clean and well maintained. Restaurants are good and the hotel staff are friendly.
