Fine overall but The Western Restaurant was not very welcoming and didnt appear to offer any of the dishes on the menu!!- 05-Aug-2008 We really enjoyed our stay here. It was convenient and very comfortable. I don't expect Korean hotels to have English speakers but most do. In this hotel, I did not encounter an English speaker. Also the phone number provided on the web page does not work from within Korea. But overall, a great experience. We would definitely go back.- 04-Aug-2008 I was pleasantly surprised to check-in to the New Crown Hotel and find it to be more luxurious than I had pictured. For the price, it is well worth it, especially if you are splitting the room with other people. The place is clean, air-conditioning, CNN, what more do you need especially when you probably won't spend too much time in the room? I recommend renting a motorbike, than busing or cabbing to the places you wish to go. The area is close enough to walk to a few good eateries, stores, but about 20 minutes from the nearest beach.
For those of you hoping to scourge on some western food, the western restaurant was NEVER open in the hotel, and I stayed there during peak season. Also, when I requested to order from the western menu they sent me upstairs to a less than fair breakfast buffet, which by the way is not free. Don't waste your won there. Go to the Ramada Inn for a more rounded buffet, or buy a yogurt or two at the nearest Family Mart.
Have a good vacation in Jeju!- 07-Aug-2007 |
